Hello, I am Arunachal Chatterjee, a passionate learner of the world around us, and a teacher by profession.

While being a student helps one learn better, I realised early that you learn best when you teach. Hence, by profession, I impart knowledge about a very tiny part of life – Zoology. But in the process of educating others, I end up learning more – after all, what better way to relearn a chapter than through questions on the fundamentals from the fresh set of eyes of a newcomer to the field?

Outside work, my inclination towards travelling, hiking, bird-watching and mentoring further gives me the scope to garner more experience, knowledge, skills and explore new areas of life. Be it researching on molecular cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, exploring the coral reefs in the Lakshadweep isles, understanding biogeography in the National Parks of America, or following the footsteps of Darwin in Australia, the more I see the world, the more I get amazed by the confines of our own knowledge.

I have also been volunteering for one of the oldest organizations of India – The Zoological Society, Kolkata as an Executive Council Member which gives me enormous opportunities to build on the subtler aspects of management, planning and execution.

With so much that I am learning every day – and so much to share – this page provides me that dimension outside the confines of my classroom to further express my thoughts, collaborate with other inquisitive scholars, and of course, to keep inspiring our curious minds!
